@Its Hypnosis, Is it possible to use saltwater somehow? Probably not a fast fix method to get drinking water but as a backup ‘if all else fail’. Keeping salty water in, for example, a bottle with a narrow tube through the cork/cap. And if warming up, the water should condensate and escape thru the hole/tube.monsdk wrote: ↑Mon Jul 25, 2022 11:39 pmi would still filter the rain water, with the stuff they put in the air.Its Hypnosis wrote: ↑Sun Jul 24, 2022 6:43 am The water filtering through the sand hopfully is clean from the chemicals.
The water I'm filtering is from rain only and should be free from nasty bacteria.
@Mons and It’s Hypnosis,
I really like your ideas/solutions. But since I’m lazy and not yet in a desperate situation...
My solution is coffee/tea filters for filtering out ‘big’ particles. And something called “Purify My Drinking Water”, a pill that (supposedly) makes really dirty water drinkable. I’m sure there are lots of products like these.
Also... putting clean copper in or using a copper container will kill off some germs. (If it’s not a myth) hehe. But I guess there’s a risk of getting an overdose on copper instead. (Oughtta be the same/similar with silver)
Anyways... Thanks for sharing your ideas, solutions and results!
