I am leaning more towards this being fake. We know that Will is a cuck but surely even a cuck would actually punch another guy not bitch slap him across the face? In my experience if you want to hurt someone and 'lose it' you don't have the emotional regulation to slap someone, you just go all out, and if you want to make a point but not hit someone you would grab them, push them to the floor and numerous other things, but I don't think in all my life I have slapped someone. Either Will really is a pussy or it is fake, possibly both.

But that's the point Born_Free, it seemed completely out of character for him to do what he did, but that he felt that he needed to do something. The slap, the swearing, the quiver in his voice, this guy is in serious emotional pain. Just a few seconds earlier he was laughing at the joke (which was pretty mild), but his 'wife' wasn't. And there's the rub

I certainly agree S-19 that Will Smith is really struggling emotionally and psychologically right now. Even if we assume (and its a big stretch) that he is ok with the 'open relationship' with Jada, it is a different beast to deal with when the world knows about that and the lovers she is allegedly having. I think that would test many people out, possibly more than they can humanely take. When you add in that she is also a narc, then it is going to be a real struggle for Will to cope with. I feel for him because you can see he is a broken man; I am not sure the bitch-slap and crying to Denzel Washington's shoulder is helpful to him or his image, nor the open relationship situation. Many will view Jada's behaviours as Will 'not being man enough', and sadly the way Will acted have not exactly dispelled that. But a horrible situation for him, and he risks repeated public humiliation. I really hope he comes out in the next few weeks and publicly announces separation from the narc and slowly gets some self-respect back. But as we 'truthers' know only too well, if you put up with something, you are CONSENTING.

If you want to get into the drama of these celebrities, yuck, Jada Pinkett's heart was broken when Tupac was assassinated. They were lovers and will smith knew he could never fill Tupac's shoes.

I am not really interested in the drama SeeD. To be honest I use these types of examples as a way to personally evolve and fine tune my intuition, understand the psychology of people and to hone my skills in understanding people and myself better. The moment you are twisting yourself inside out to make a partner happy or to be 'someone else'' is the moment you know you need to get the hell out of there and that this person is not for you.

Sad how much better Will could do, but it does appear to me he's under mind control from his narc wife. That's how it goes.

And it just goes to show, people who idolize movie and pop stars, even the ones that seem happy (remember, they are actors) are often some of the most depressed people and have the worst relationships.

Real or fake, doesn't really matter. He embarrassed himself forever by acting out in violence, raging obscenities, and then crying in front of everybody.

As I seem to have put narcissism front and center of this thread I’m thinking that personally it might be best to leave things as they stand for now and post about this under one of the narcissism threads we have on here. I would like to refer to some of the recent posts on here though, as it has been quite an interesting thread.

SeeD_Command, I view what’s happening in the world today as narcissism writ large. Control, control, control. Now there are many aspects of control. Was this Oscars episode specifically planned to have a global effect? I doubt it. But what occurred (in my opinion) was in the spirit of what’s happening in our would at present: chaos, negativity (leading to negative emotional reactions), confusion, upset, and depression. In short, an attack on the human psyche, both individual and collective.

This may well be true…AND/OR…she’s playing this angle to the hilt to destabilise the poor guy. Can you imagine how he feels hearing his daughter talk about her mother and Tupac? This is some twisted stuff.

I totally agree, Felix. Alas, when you’re born into this type of dynamic and know no different it can be decades before one recognises it, let anyone escape it. (It's important to note also that he has kids with her.)



Personally, one of the reasons that attracted me to this thread is the fact that explaining narcissistic abuse to someone can be so difficult. Often they just don’t get it, to the point of wondering if it’s you the speaker who’s the problem A new angle I’ve employed recently to avert such frustration is to simply refer to who I consider to be one of the most famous (covert) narcissists today, Meghan Markle. I’m finding that this approach tends to bypass having to explain what narcissism is in detail, just referring to them by name tends to make sense to people on some level. And now we've got Jada too On this topic, I’ve also started referring to one of Aesop’s fables which I’ll now take as my cue to post on the “Narcissist Abuse” thread; if you’re curious about said fable it should be linked there soon.
