Fellow 'Yorkie' here too, although I now live in Sydney. Would be interested in seeing what transpires in that area though as I always have the option of returning to the UK. Like the wind, I am prepared to go where the Universe takes me.

Always works better in theory @franscapes; sometimes I wish a tornado would come along and make the decision easier  . Yes, so many people emigrated here which was a great opportunity that many (like myself and partner at the time) could not resist. Sadly, as with most of these 'mass migrations' they have totally destroyed Australia and the other Countries that have had large influxes in a short period. Sydney is unrecognizable from the one I came to in 2006.

I'm in East Yorkshire, would love a meet up sometime if anyone up for it. Last year I went on a group walk around York with Martin Liedtke, was great to talk to so many like minded people and also tour the great sites in York with people who already know about mud flood etc. Good central place to meet, just 1 hour on the train for me. Having said that, a meet up in Harrogate to visit Mother Shipton's would also be pretty awesome!
