I have no problem with that quote, but it's got nothing to do with what Jesus Christ said in his explanation of his parable.

Here's what he said again (Matthew 13:36-43):
Then Jesus sent the multitudes away, and went into the house. His disciples came to him, saying, "Explain to us the parable of the darnel weeds of the field." He answered them, "He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man, the field is the world; and the good seed, these are the children of the Kingdom; and the darnel weeds are the children of the evil one. The enemy who sowed them is the devil.

The harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are angels. As therefore the darnel weeds are gathered up and burned with fire; so will it be at the end of this age. The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they will gather out of his Kingdom all things that cause stumbling, and those who do iniquity, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be weeping and the gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine forth like the sun in the Kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear.

That's a whole film, one and a half hours long! lol
Is the film connected to what we were discussing or a reply to what Jesus Christ said in his quote?
If so, could you give a brief summary of how it may be relevant? Ta!
If not, thanks for posting!

IMDB says its about, "two groups of people who discover evidence that suggests spirits may be trying to invade the human world through the Internet."
The film appears to get positive reviews.

Margin Call

Post by Robo »

Margin Call (2011, J.C. Chandor)
Storyline

A respected financial company is downsizing, and one of the victims is the risk-management division head, who was working on a major analysis just when he was let go. His protégé completes the study late into the night, then frantically calls his colleagues in about the company's financial disaster he has discovered. What follows is a long night of panicked double-checking and double-dealing as the senior management prepare to do whatever it takes to mitigate the coming debacle even as the handful of conscientious comrades find themselves dragged along into the unethical abyss.

Might be a bit off topic but "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz" (not the movie, but the original book by Frank L Baum ...

In the children's book, the citizens of Emerald City are compelled from birth to death to wear green goggles over their eyes. The city is made of plain white stone and it only appears as emerald because of the world which has been pulled over their eyes.

When it gets to the movie the Wizard of Oz, it seems designed like some joke by those who read the book because the people staring at the movie screen watching this brand new technicolor extravaganza are kept blissfully unaware that the city isn't made of emeralds at all.

Thank you so much for that.
I love Baum's original version of the story, so much wisdom, and what you've highlighted is wonderful.
Don't be concerned your post was off-topic, it wasn't because it was about text that was used for a film, and that's great!
